The Universal Group is an industry leader in traffic control services, traffic management planning, traffic equipment supply, landscaping, temporary labour, and health and safety.  We are looking for a passionate, authentic and driven candidate to join our team as a Content and Email Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a drive for success, hunger to obtain it and takes the initiative to do so.   • Develop compelling content for our website, blog, promotional materials, social media that reflects our brand
  • Collaborate with various departments for the creation of web pages, blog posts and email marketing campaigns
  • Develop and manage monthly email marketing and blog calendar
  • Manage content for our social media platforms (Facebook and LinkedIn) while identifying trends to increase user engagement
  • Research latest content marketing trends and develop a strategy for various departments
  • Build, create, and refine compelling and persuasive marketing content that covers Universal Group’s suite of services
  • Manage monthly & quarterly promotional and event campaigns strategy and execution
  • Research content ideas for Universal Group’s quarterly newsletter and collaborate with departments for content development
  • Work with the Graphic Designer and create ad hoc collateral content on request & coordinate changes across all existing collateral


  • Due to the nature of projects, this is an office position 4 hours/ day, 20 hours/week
  • 2-3 years of experience developing content for web and email marketing considered an asset
  • Experience with email marketing tools such as Mailchimp, Hubspot, Constant Contact etc., is required
  • BA Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
  • Excellent writing skills, and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Able to manage multiple projects while taking ownership and meeting deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Photoshop/ design skills considered an asset
