Field Supervisor

Wages : C$25 - 27

Reports to: Charissa Steel, Operations Manager

Description:  The Field Supervisor is responsible for working independently to coordinate equipment and support the crews in the daily maintenance of the sites.  They may also have some sites of their own to maintain.  Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, they are responsible for the overall quality of service provided by the crews.


  • Maintain properties & ensure quality control, (independently, or with a crew)
  • Orient and train crew members in the operation of various equipment
  • Repair or arrange for repair of equipment
  • Maintain the tidiness and organization of the landscaping portion of the warehouse
  • Coordinate the mower blade exchange program
  • Safely operate a fleet vehicle (possibly with trailer, plow, etc)
  • Aide crews to accurately fill out electronic time sheets, incidents reports, and other paperwork
  • Coordinate Additional Services for sites (mulch, replanting, sod, etc)
  • Coordinate the appropriate equipment for crews’ special tasks
  • Proficiently and safely use snow removal equipment such as plows, shovels, and salt spreaders

  • Always wear company uniform and ensure crews also do so
  • Ensure appropriate PPE is used at all times
  • Ensure crews work with care around clients and their property
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site (prevent obstructions for vehicles and pedestrians)
  • Immediately report any damage to property or injuries resulting from the work
  • Maintain and care for personal or company provided equipment, tools and vehicles
  • Understand and meet scheduled deadlines without sacrificing great customer service
  • Keep accurate timesheet records and logs of work completed for each site
  • Perform highly physical work outdoors on a consistent basis in all weather conditions
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Operations Manager


  • Steel toed boots
  • Class 5 Driver’s Licence with Driver’s Abstract
  • Horticulture industry certifications or equivalent experience


  • Fleet vehicle for work only
  • Smartphone with data and LMN software
  • Company uniform (1 pair of pants, 2 t-shirts, 1 baseball hat/torque)
  • PPE (eye protection, ear protection, and a hi-vis vest)
