All TCP’s are eligible to re-qualify 6 months prior to expiry.
As a Traffic Control Person you have 12 months from the date of expiry to complete a re-qualification course.
Should your TCP Certificate expire you are unable to perform Traffic Control until you have taken the re-qualification program.
After the 12-month grace period, you will not be eligible for the re-qualification program and be required to take the full 2-day Traffic Control course.
To be eligible for registration in the 1-day renewal program you must have a valid Authorization Code.

Prior to registering for the 1 Day Re-qualification Course you MUST obtain a valid 5-digit Authorization Code.

CERTIFICATION
Once completed, each graduating student is issued a three-year certificate that allows them the ability to work anywhere in BC as a Traffic Control Person. This is recognized by WorkSafeBC as the only valid High-Risk Traffic Control Person certificate in the province. There is a multiple choice exam that requires a minimum score of 80%.
